Where did the time go? Here we are already at the end of the year. Looking back there have been so many things that have happened for which I am grateful. This time of year always makes me think of the innocence of children. Their faces glowing from the holiday lights shining brightly everywhere you look. Random acts of kindness....bells ringing outside of shopping centers....people rolling up dollars to place inside the Salvation Army bucket...others donating toys and goodies to the Angel Trees.
This has always been one of my favorite holidays mostly because of all the memorable family times I hold dear to my heart. Growing up in Alabama we didn't see much snow, but all the wonderful smells that are "Christmas" filled the air. I especially loved my trips to the local Farmer's Market with my dad to buy fresh fruit, nuts and candy! Candy canes were my favorite, but I loved those big red apples too! I have great memories.
It is my sincere wish and prayer that every child has the opportunity to experience a memorable Christmas. I pray that every child has a happy face, warm home and plenty of food to eat. Please don't forget to do whatever you can to help those in need. The blessings that we receive are not ours to keep...please share them with others. Remember also, that this time of year long ago... a child was born in a manger, giving all of us the ultimate gift...the gift of redemption and hope.
I am taking my holiday break to spend with family and friends making more enriching memories. So, it is from my home and heart that I wish you all the Happiest of Christmas Wishes and a Blessed and Abundant New Year!
